What we want you to know
We have our Safety Plan in place in co-ordination to the guidelines set out by WorkSafe BC.
We have been taking online courses such as Beauty Safe, Pre-empt, Milady, and Barbicide to ensure our standards are up to date.
Howe Street is down to one lane, the parking entrance across from us is gone and so are a few exits from Pacific Centre so give yourself a few extra minutes to arrive on time.
We are keeping people within the salon to a minimum, so our schedules have changed.
We can only have one person per stylist in the salon, so your kids, friends, spouses and fur babies cannot join you at this time. Sorry!
We have had multiple staff meetings to work on protocols around cleaning, disinfecting, spacing, traffic flow and various other details.
We have plexiglass barriers at the front desk and at the shampoo basins.
All of our styling chairs and waiting area chairs are 2 meters apart.
We have altered our schedules to minimize the number of people in the salon.
What to expect when you arrive
Our waiting area has been minimized to three seats. If it is full please wait outside and we will come out to get you.
Upon entering the salon there will be a hand sanitizing station set up for you. There is a short self declaration form to help with contact tracing should there be an outbreak that leads to our salon. This is a mandatory step in our guidelines. This information will not be shared.
You can also fill out the form prior to your appointment here
We can’t take you if you are late as we do need to run on time to allow for the proper amount of time to clean and sanitize.
Masks must be worn in the salon by everyone at all times.
If you don’t have a mask, we have disposable ones for $2.00
We will have reusable bags for your personal belongings such as coats and purses as we will not be using the coat closet for the time being.
Please wear a top you feel comfortable getting your hair done in as we won’t be allowing the change rooms to be used or the client gowns to be worn at this time.
We no longer have magazines and talking is to be kept to a minimum (probably will be awkward with a mask on) so please bring a book or charged device for your entertainment. Please bring earbuds if you want to listen to content.
We can’t serve beverages so please bring along your coffee or tea if you like.
*With our new protocols we feel it is best if each stylist handles their own bookings, so that they can maximize their schedules and get you in sooner. You can still call the salon at (604) 681-7400 and our receptionists will take your information and pass it on to your stylist. You may also email to reception@duendesalon.com, or if you know your stylists’ contact info directly you can reach out to them that way too.
